SAVE-THE-DATE: Minnesota Cybersecurity Fair

With the  supply of trained professionals falling short of demand by more than 5,000 people, and counting, the Minnesota State IT Center of Excellence has partnered with Metropolitan State University and other organizations in Minnesota to establish the MN Cyber Institute.  The mission of MN Cyber is to work across the state to provide education and training, as well as build partnerships that support statewide efforts to grow and train Minnesota’s cybersecurity workforce.

Minnesota is fortunate to already have a number of college and university cybersecurity and information security programs aligned to the needs of employers. In fact, three Minnesota State institutions are designated as Centers of Academic Excellence by NSA and the Department of Homeland Security. In addition, MN Cyber has begun to offer non-degree, professional development training in cybersecurity, including some of the entry-level certifications from CompTIA (Security+, CySA+), as well as advanced team-based cyber defense simulations on Minnesota’s first Cyber Range.

To help Minnesota’s employers connect with newly trained and educated students and professionals, MN Cyber is hosting its first MN Cyber Career Expo on June 27th!

Students, will be able to meet with major employers, government agencies, and other enterprises looking for cyber talent. Students and alumni from any Minnesota State institution are eligible to attend.  Register Here to Attend!
