Minnesota Twins Support Aspirations in Computing Rising Star Honorees – You can Too!
2022 marks the 10th year of the Minnesota Aspirations in Computing Program (MNAiC) which offers year-round events and activities to inspire and empower students in high school to become our next, best Minnesota-grown technology talent. MNAiC partners with the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) and a remarkable array of Minnesota companies and organizations to support high school students who identify as women, genderqueer, or non-binary to realize their computing-related education and career aspirations.
Since 2012 the program has impacted thousands of statewide students with 726 being selected as award honorees. This year 110 honorees ranging from Rising Star to Top-Tier State Honorees to National level award recipients were selected by national and state review teams for their technology passion, interests, and achievements.
For several years, the Minnesota Twins have hosted a learning and recognition event to honor high school freshman and sophomore Rising Star technology award recipients. On April 30th they partnered with the Minnesota State IT Center of Excellence and MNAiC to host the honorees at Target Field where they engaged exclusively with company technology practitioners, learned how technology drives MN Twins’ business and entertainment success, enjoyed delicious food, and experienced a well-deserved recognition of their technology accomplishments. Go Twins!

We welcome additional companies and technologists to become involved in MNAiC efforts to revolutionize the technology workforce to mirror a diverse society that benefits from technology advances made each day. Take a closer look at the impact of the Minnesota Twins’ support of MNAiC.
