Over the past several years, the IT Center of Excellence has partnered with teachers and schools across Minnesota to offer a unique introductory course intended to give high school students exposure to a variety of IT-related careers and educational pathways. A 3.0 ‘new and improved’ version of the IT Exploration curriculum is now available for teachers/classrooms for the 2018-19 school year. The course content, online tools, and exercises are now offered on an educational platform provided through a partnership with Minnesota-based STEM Fuse. Are you new to IT Exploration, or an experienced IT Exploration teacher interested in learning more about the 3.0 materials available for the 2018-19 school year? On December 5, 2018 multiple trainers will allow for your training needs to be met. The training will help you to utilize the curriculum and user-friendly platform. It is designed to be hands-on, and you will experience first-hand how easy it can be to provide instruction and lead exercises and assignments related to each of the new and improved topic areas using the STEM Fuse platform.
All participants will review the new training materials organized by standards aligning to Precision Exams – Information Technology Introduction (801).
By completing the daylong training, you will earn 6 CEUs.
IT Exploration Mid-School Year Workshop

Minnesota State – IT Center of Excellence (in the St. Paul midway area)
In a one day workshop on December 5th, participants will be introduced to the revised IT Exploration curriculum and have an opportunity to network with other users. Hands on activities will be used for both new and experienced instructors to explore the student activities that enliven the curriculum. All sessions will be taught by current IT Exploration users and it is a FREE workshop. FREE support is provided to all ITX users!
