Four Exceptional Technology Resources for Educators

 

  1.  Alexandria Technical and Community College has created a Cybersecurity Career Guide to provide to middle and high school students. Click Here to view a digital version.  If you wish to receive hardcopy guidebooks to share with your students, simply email steve.richards@alextech.edu. He’ll need your contact information, number of guidebooks needed, and address.
  2.  IT Exploration is a no-cost curriculum for students in grades 8-12.  If you are exploring curriculum options for next year, Click Here to learn more and to register for a 45-minute Info Session on either April 7 from 3:30-4:15pm, or May 11 from 3:45-4:30pm.
  3.  PowerUP IT – a program offered by the Minnesota State IT Center of Excellence, invites high school educators throughout Minnesota to utilize assembled and cataloged video content featuring Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) technology professionals discussing their IT roles, technical interests, educational and career paths, and providing professional development guidance.  Click Here to access the resources.
  4.  Prepare to Launch – a partnership with Target and numerous companies to provide high school students with information from tech practitioners to help prepare technology students for college and career success.
