Whether you are planning to attend SIGCSE this year or not, the Minnesota IT Center of Excellence would like to invite you to our Career Readiness Lunch-and-Learn event being held during the conference, which will be focused on the important topic of career readiness.
Wilson Garland, Executive Director, Janice Aaneson, PhD, Director of Academic Initiatives, and Chad Eckes, consultant to the ITCOE, will be reviewing some of the latest research the ITCOE has conducted, showing the importance of providing career readiness training to IT and computer science students. Additionally, attendees of the lunch-and-learn will get to review and provide feedback on our three new career readiness D2L Modules, focused on teaching and assessing the important skills of:
- Oral and Written Communications
- Collaboration and Teamwork
- Initiative and Leadership
If you’d like to attend the Lunch-and-Learn, please RSVP here. We have 20 spots reserved at Prairie Kitchen and Bar, located inside of the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis. Lunch is paid for by COE, so all you need to do is show up and be ready to learn!
