With women like Alexandra Brown and Stephanie Spann as part of the company’s leadership team, it’s no surprise that STEM Fuse has joined the Minnesota State IT Center of Excellence, in supporting the Aspirations in Computing Award Program as a Champion Partner who is actively leading the charge for gender equity in tech, and the state institution’s #MNGirlsDisruptTECH initiative.
At this year’s ceremony, 35 young women from across Minnesota high schools were recognized for their GRIT and achievements in technology. Along with being recognized, honorees were awarded prizes ranging from tech devices, scholarships, job shadowing and internship opportunities.
Many organizations in Minnesota and across the nation are incorporating Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into their products, processes and business models. Gartner IoT predicts that there will be nearly 20 billion devices connected to the IoT by 2020 and that IoT product and service suppliers will amount to a business of $300 billion in revenue with retail, healthcare, and industrial/supply chain and transportation leading the way.
