With the end of the 2019 Academic Year and the start of 2020 around the corner, it is important to evaluate the work the ITCOE has completed. It is equally important to see where we can improve and grow. By looking at the past we can better understand how to shape our future.
MN State IT Center of Excellence had a busy and fun June hosting Cyber Bootcamp at Metropolitan State University and the 1st Annual Data Bootcamp at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Both of these events brought together students from across Minnesota to explore cyber or data and advance their understanding and abilities.
A number of organizations have completed Career Outlook surveys for 2018 and beyond. The summary of findings have a nice outlook for students in the data science, computer science and/or information technology areas. In 2018, Glassdoor (www.glassdoor.com) listed the 50 best jobs in the United States. Their job ratings included job satisfaction, number of job openings and base salary. Out of the top 50 jobs, fifteen (15) are in the technology arenas, with many being in the Top 10!
Much of the stress of Final Exams is trying to figure out how to fit in necessary studying and classwork in between family obligations, work schedule, and at this time of the year HOLIDAY events and parties. Here are a few suggestions to help you prepare.
